my song, "I'm Ready for My Luck to Turn Around" is featured in the book 'the greatest record ever made'
how amazing! it always stops me dead in my tracks when you read something that someone wrote after listening to your song, or looking at a painting that is so insanely spot on. to me, it speaks to the magic of art. how do people know all that? how did I put that into that thing that I made? it's spooky level magic. here is an excerpt from it: "belief feeds hope.....as we try to deal with all of this from a pandemic to an incompetent pretend president..through episodes of violence, brutality, racism and myopic resistance to the simple truth that Black Lives Matter. Marykate O'Neil provided me with a spark of fleeting comfort throughout this weird and troubled time. I used to say I was made out of hope. Maybe I still am...As this world continues to give us more and more reason to question what we think we know, to lose faith in what we believe to be the unshakable truth, it's a sentiment worth adopting as both shield and sword. stand by me. I'm ready for my luck to turn around. if you're ready."
